Thank You, Noisily Festival!

We are incredibly grateful to Noisily Festival for inviting us to run the Festival Info Area 7th -10th July 2022

Lost & Found at Noisily Festival: From Items to Impact

Running the Festival Info Area at Noisily Festival has been an incredible experience, filled with stories of kindness, trust, and community spirit. Today, we’re excited to share how this journey has come full circle.

A huge thank you to everyone – including security and stewards – who handed in items during the festival and trusted us to manage them. Many items were Claimed Onsite and records kept.

Offsite:

Every item was meticulously listed and photographed – right down to a single earring – because we know how much even the smallest item can mean. We even sent postcards to addresses we found and helped save costs for those who didn’t need to replace licences or mobiles.

Stories That Warm the Heart

There were many good stories, but two stand out:

  • The Tent Mystery:
We received a frantic email from someone desperately trying to find an expensive tent they had borrowed. It had gone missing at the taxi pick-up point and wasn’t handed in. A day or two later, someone emailed us saying their taxi driver had mistakenly put a tent in the boot that didn’t belong to them. Photographs matched, and the rest is history!
  • The Passport Rescue:
An artist, about to fly out for a gig abroad, called us after another promoter gave them my personal number. They were trying to find out if anyone had handed in their passport. Luckily, we had it! They weren’t aware of Lost & Found. You can imagine how happy they were – they even sent a cab to collect it. Their text said it all:
“Thanks – you’ve saved the Mf……. day. Michael”

Thank You

To everyone who contributed, handed in items, and supported this effort – you’ve made a real difference. Together, we’ve turned lost property into hope and help for those who need it most.

These moments remind us why it’s important to hand in anything you find – even the smallest item can have sentimental value.
