Set amongst Manchester’s fashion wholesale district, The Yard MCR is a hidden gem of site, made for creative individuals and collectives.
The Yard is a space to work, meet and relax. It is also a space for live music, film, theatre, spoken word, fashion and touring production rehearsals.
Founded in 2019 as a multi-use workspace, The Yard quickly grew into a iconic independent creative hub and an arts venue. This alternative space is now home to music studios, fashion brands, graphic designers, a theatre company, artists and producers.
The Yard is an ongoing work in progress. 2020 seemed the perfect time for a pandemic distraction and with this in mind, The Back Yard was launched emerging as a cobbled, enclosed oasis. This is a much needed outdoor space in a neighbourhood that currently has no safe outdoor leisure or work areas.
Cheetham Hill is an important strand in Manchester’s historical, industrial and social tapestry, and it is now time for visitors to explore and enjoy some of Manchester’s exciting cultural institutions. This end of The Hill has long been home to a number of settled communities and with this in mind The Yard is committed to providing a safe and welcoming space for all.
The Yard is a community and actively encourages like-minded individuals to join. We are here for our current as well as future generations and will continue to adapt and evolve.
The Yard is just a 10 minute walk from Manchester City Centre and Victoria Train Station.
